This is a pre-war apartment in the lower east-side of NYC thats been renovated since then obviously. It was an old tenement building and looking at the floor plan I’m going to assume its part of what used to be the dumbbell design. The place looks really cool but I wonder when they did the redo if they put in better insulation. We learned about these apartments in class and apparently although the design was supposedly better than the older design, there was absolutely no insulation used in any of these buildings so they were either ridiculously cold or hot.
