Beautiful Decay |
I'm 20 years old and currently living in Atlanta where I attend Georgia Tech for architecture. I was recently reminded that instead of constantly looking for romantic love in the boys and girls that surround me everyday, I should remember that I already am dearly loved by my friends and family. I like that idea. |
butlers - she tried to kiss me.
constantly hoping i will one day find this on vinyl (without it costing me hundreds of dollars.)
Guys.
Remember when this first happened and you felt like you were Rory and you turned around and there was Jess and it was great?!
yes.
JDS Architects thought that this trampoline net spiral—which would allow people to bounce from the top floor to the bottom of the Guggenheim Museum rotunda—could be the funniest thing ever.
Unfortunately—or fortunately for the people who may have broken their necks—it is just a concept, part of the “Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum” exhibition. The exhibition explores different formulas to fill the open space inside the famous Frank Lloyd Wright’s building.
I being an architect. We can propose the most ridiculous things ever and be taken seriously by other architects.
Also. This building is on my History of ID test which is in 20 minutes.

Chronology.
Three and a half years ago, I started going to arch school and I came across many many useful and not so useful tools for drafting, sketching and coloring, and realized I don’t have to buy the most expensive rapidographs to get good results. These are some pens I purchased during this time. Some, I wouldn’t recommend and some, I still use every day, but each one has its own purpose.
From left to right (in order of purchase):
STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph 3B
STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph 4B
STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph 6B
Faber-Castell PITT artist pen B black
Faber-Castell TK-9400
Faber-Castell Perfection 7057
DIPLOMAT Penxacta 0.5mm black
Pentel SignPen S520 1.0mm black
Touch Twin Marker TM-120 black
Muji Color Pen Hexagonal black
Muji Refill Gel-Ink B. Point Pen 0.38mm black
And, of course, there’s nothing like good tracing paper. In my case, using mostly 24g/m² paper.
What are your favourite pens?
I was trying to answer and accidently hit enter before I was done. Oops.
I was going to say my Pentel Rolling Writer which I had to order in bulk from Office Depot’s website because no store carries them in stock anymore but they’re AMAZING pens and I love them.
If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which would it be?
Fellini’s!!! Its extremely cheap, the pizza is AMAZING, and I absolutely love the atmosphere there (the once on Ponce de Leon in Atlanta). Besides, I’ve pretty much eaten there nearly every week for the past 2.5 years anyways.
How many countries have you traveled to?
Only 4 unfortunately. Mexico for a “mission trip” and England, Ireland, and Wales as a part of People-to-People when I was entering 7th grade.
“Traveling from North Carolina” Paleface
This is exactly how I feel right now: “looking north but thinking South” and not knowing where I really want to be.
Rule of Genvieve #43: If the name Wainwright is attached to it, Genevieve will fall in love with it.
*tears*
1. I love that you knew that this post was for you, even though I didn’t say it. 2. I love that I misspelled my own name.
